Born Kyla Wise Halliday in London, Ontario, Canada and grew up in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. She started her career as a model in Canada, Japan and Taiwan.
Kyla graduated with honors from University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drama with Distinction. She was awarded the Department of Drama's highest honor receiving the Gold Medal Award.
Her TV debut was in the series "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids: The TV Show" playing popular fire starting Sapphire. Her professional theater debut was playing Cordelia in King Lear and Titania in A Midsummer Night's Dream.
Kyla most recently shot a series of TV commercials with fellow Canadian actor Jason Priestley. She lives in Vancouver, Canada. She is of British and Jewish descent.
