Born as Aaron Tager, in Brooklyn, New York in 1934, he moved to Canada where he appeared in various Canadian theatre productions. For a quarter century he took a hiatus from acting in favor of art, sculpting and poetry.
In 1991, he and his wife, Ann Page, appeared on-screen. He was later known as Aron Tager.
He first appeared in Requiem pour un beau sans-coeur (1992), and in several episodes of Are You Afraid of the Dark? (1990) which lasted until 1994, when he moved on to such Canadian feature films as Canvas (1992), Blind Faith (1998), Warriors (1994), Fancy Dancing (2002), You Kill Me (2007), Sweet Killing (1993), Serendipity (2001), and as the villainous Lars Lujak in Protection (2001).
