Aaron Brookner is a director and writer known for Uncle Howard (2016), a New York Times Critic's Pick and one of Hollywood Reporter's Top Ten Docs of 2016.
The film premiered in the U.S. in Competition at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival, and had its international premiere at 2016 Berlinale in the Panorama section.
It was shown in some of the most important film festivals around the world including San Sebastian, the 54th New York Film Festival, Bafici and more than 60 others.
Brookner produced the remastered version of Burroughs: The Movie (1983), directed by his uncle Howard Brookner. The film was re-released theatrically by Janus Films and on Blu-ray and DVD by The Criterion Collection.
