Two-time International Emmy® nominee, Luca is a TV creator and showrunner, responsible for TV shows such as "O Negócio" (HBO),"Mothern" (GNT), "Julie e os Fantasmas" a.k.a. "Julie and The Phantoms"(Nickelodeon/Band) and "Copa do Caos" (MTV).
He's the founder of Scriptonita Films, a Sao Paulo-based production company. Luca started out as scriptwriter for TV Manchete in the early 1980s. He became Artistic Director for the Brazilian feed of CMT International - a Nashville-based channel.
Later, Luca went on to create successful shows for HBO, MTV, Fox, Turner, Viacom, Sony, to name a few.
As a showrunner he has been in charge of over 200 episodes of scripted television. "O Negócio", his critically acclaimed drama series for HBO is the most successful series ever produced by HBO Latin America.
Fourth season premiered simultaneously in 55 countries. Luca was also the showrunner of "Julie e os Fantasmas", a live-action series for Nickelodeon Latin America and Band TV.
It was licensed to Netflix, as well as for Pay-TV channels in 32 countries. The series won the APCA Awards and earned Luca a 2nd International Emmy® nomination.
Luca is a juror for the International Emmy Awards, a permanent member of Academia de Histórias Curtas, for RBS/TV Globo, and consultant for NETLabTV - a nationwide script writing contest organized by NET Cable - which focuses on finding fresh creative talent in Brazil.
